In June 2013 I travelled to the southern highlands of Tanzania to photograph the Jhpiego voluntary medical male circumcision campaign. I visited some extremely remote villages in the Iringa and Njombe regions. One of the highlights of this trip was visiting Lake Nyasa (a.k.a Lake Malawi). We drove for 7 hours down a dirt road and took a boat to reach communities that are not accessible by car. The main purpose of the assignment was to photograph clients, health providers, the process, and the lengths Jhpiego take to get to remote areas.
